The tongue is the only place in the mouth that does not have any enamel on its surface, so it is very susceptible to cavity-causing bacteria.

Brushing your tongue will help prevent cavities. It will also reduce bad breath and give you shiny teeth.

You can either use a regular toothbrush or a tongue scraper to brush your tongue. The scraper’s curved shape helps you clean your tongue better than with regular toothbrushes, which typically only touch one side of the surface of the tongue at a time.
